Elizabeth Eowyn Steffel

Elizabeth Eowyn Steffel is a survivor of childhood abuse and foster care. Elizabeth emancipated from foster care in the spring of 2003.  She graduated from began working with Title I at risk youth through an AmeriCorps program and through University of Wisconsin Green Bay’s Phuture Phoenix program.  

Elizabeth graduated from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay in 2009, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Human Development and a minor in Philosophy.  Today Elizabeth is studying for her Masters in Social Work at the University of Southern California.  When Elizabeth finishes her graduate program she hopes to work within the mental health field.  Elizabeth is interested in becoming a motivational speaker for youth in the foster system. She would also like to become an informational speaker for educators and professionals on issues pertaining to foster care.
