My most solidly joyful Christmas memory is of a visit to Frankenmuth MI.
I don’t remember buying anything; I was too busy looking at everything!
The entire town is a Christmas decoration! You feel like you walked into
one of those under-the-tree Christmas towns. It has a huge store called
Bonners that has a wonderful selection of Christmas goodies. It is a
Bavarian setting with wonderful food for the soul and body. www.

A city that calls itself The Christmas City, Bethlehem PA, is always worth a
visit during the Holidays. It takes its name seriously and is a charming
place to see. It is a small town with a quaint downtown.

Leavenworth WA has a reputation for an amazing festival of lights. That is
not all they do. Because it is so popular, a weekend visit could be hard to
arrange, so go during the week. www.leavenworth.org
Many of us on the East coast are familiar with the huge Biltmore mansion in
Asheville NC. This palace has a great history and is renowned for its
beauty. “Guests will see 57 trees throughout Biltmore House, each
intricately designed and decorated by members of Biltmore's floral team.
Miles of fresh garlands, wreaths and that fresh Fraser fir create a yuletide
scent throughout the House, with around 1,000 poinsettias in the Winter
Garden and other areas.” As a lover of poinsettias, I can’t think of a better
place to go! www.biltmore.com/media/christmas.asp
