Relive the First Colonial Thanksgiving

There are many wonderful places to visit that let you relive the first Colonial
Thanksgiving and the reasons we are thankful for our country!  You can go to
Plymouth Rock in Massachusetts.  You can visit the early American settlement of
First we have, Plymouth Rock. The whole town is loaded with historical sites and
events.  There is a plantation, museums, a replica of the Mayflower, and even a
petting zoo!  You can spend a weekend inexpensively by staying at a modest motel
nearby instead of in town.  Many places to visit offer group packages.  Get together
with other foster families and make an expedition to the site of the beginning of our
country.

Next on the list is Jamestown, which boasts both Colonial and Native American village
recreations.  You can wander around in the villages and get a real feel for living
during these baby-steps of our country.  The two types of villages really were as close
to each other as they show. http://www.historyisfun.org/jamestown-settlement.htm
